Self Taught Beats - Where I Wanna Be

Posted on 10:18 by The Zanna Maison

Self Taught Beats, who is the co-founder of First Love Musik production team, describes himself as a music producer of many genres. The south London bred musician gained much respect for producing underground classics such as ‘Crying Out Loud’ featuring Bashy and ‘Rice & Peas’ featuring Uni-verse (Hugo Urban Rules winner). Tracks produced by First Love Musik have received much positive commentary from the likes of Omar, Mica Paris, DJ Giles Peterson (Radio 1), Ludacris (US Hip-hop artist), Nottz (US producer), DJ Big Ted (Kiss FM), DJ 279 (Choice FM), DJ Twin B & Ras Kwame (1Xtra) and Nathan (UK R&B singer), amongst others.
His talents have also been eagerly sought out by companies and artists such as MTV Base (DJ Takeover), Amedume Films, Street Politics (MOBO award winners), Wretch 32, Scorcher, No Lay, Black Twang, Maxwell D, Street Journalist, Tor, Pariz 1, Alex Blood, Tinie Tempa, Rukus, Moorish Delta 7, Terri Walker, Skinny Man, Big Cakes, Swiss (So Solid), Baby Blue, Akala, Bronze & Black, Mr. Midas, Biggs, Sincere, Yolanda Brown (Saxophonist), shortMAN (Award winning spoken word artist), Tugg Star (Award winning spoken word artist), J'Nay (MOBO Award Winner), Hill St Soul, Sharlene Hector (Bassment Jaxx) and Teish O’Day. Self Taught has also played a role in the pivotal part of developing artists such as female rapper Speech Therapy, who recently signed to ‘Big Dada’ (a label which also provides a home for Ty and Roots Manuva) and Ella James (a singer / songwriter whose now signed to Matthew Knowles’ record label ‘World Music’).

Self Taught Beats is currently working on his album, which is as yet untitled. However it will feature many of the hottest UK Hip-Hop and Grime artists (so the listeners will be in for a real treat!). The first release from his debut is called ‘Where I Wanna Be’. The various versions of ‘Where I Wanna Be’ feature Terri Walker, shortMAN, Street Journalism and Realism, with Ruf, Lee Cole and Baseline (by Parabeats) remixes making this one a real sing along club banger!
